My Top Priorities

These are the values and priorities that will guide my work as county commissioner.

Affordability

Haywood county residents shouldn’t be priced out of their own homes. We need solutions that drive affordable living for everyone.

Community Voices

Many of the solutions to the problems we face can be found in our own community. We need to hear everyone’s voice as we make plans that affect us all.

Collaborative Solutions

We need to work together. Hurricane Helene showed us both the greatness of what can happen when we collaborate, and the horror of what happens when we work in silos.

Appalachian Culture

Appalachia has a lot to teach the rest of our world about self-sufficiency, diversity, resiliency, and community. We need to lead with what makes us stronger!

Strategic Growth

Haywood County is growing. That growth must be strategic, thoroughly planned, and intentionally executed to leave no one behind.

Faith and Integrity

Faith calls us to live with integrity while we work for the common good. I will lead by example and with integrity.
